It can, and it is a valid thing to explore. Dealing with generational or ancestral trauma is not something I always bring up, but it is something you can bring up in your questions, and we can tap into those insights, even if you do not know whether there is something there or not. The main thing we are working with in every session is how the past life impacts your life today, how the events, the situations, the choices and the decisions made in a past life impact the current life. If that happens to involve generational or ancestral trauma, it is possible it could come up during the past life part of the session, but chances are this will be more of a question in a Quantum Healing Hypnosis session, or maybe a Life Between Lives. Sometimes a client even discovers they were their own relative in an earlier generation, and there is a separate answer about that on this site.

A Past Life Regression focuses on exploring a specific previous incarnation. A Life Between Lives session goes further, into the work Dr. Michael Newton pioneered. It does include a brief past life experience as a starting point, but the primary focus is on exploring the spirit world, where you have access to the full tapestry of your past lives, your soul group, your spirit guides, and a deeper understanding of your current life purpose. An LBL session is typically longer and works best when you have already experienced a Past Life Regression, as that foundation helps you reach the depth of trance the work requires.

No, I do not read from a script. There is a term, Scripnosis, for a hypnotherapist reading a generic pre written script word for word to a client. I avoid that approach because a canned script cannot respond to your unique personal issues and what your subconscious needs in the moment. My sessions are interactive and client centered. I listen closely to your words while you are in trance and create custom suggestions in real time based on what you say. That is also how I teach my students to work. The result is a session built around you, shaped by your own language and your own experience rather than a page of text written for someone else.

So the honest answer is that you do not have to reincarnate, but your soul often chooses to, because it sees something worth coming back for.
