Sit upright, propped up with several pillows in bed or relaxed in an easy chair, sofa or recliner with good neck support. I steer clients away from lying flat because your brain is deeply programmed to associate lying flat in bed with deep, unconscious sleep. During trance you stay actively awake and conversational so you can answer my questions, and sitting upright keeps your physical body from accidentally drifting off into normal sleep. If that happens I have a wakeup call to bring you back, and it is simpler to avoid the detour. Comfort matters, so arrange whatever supports your neck and lets you settle in for a few hours without shifting around.

Yes, it is a common discovery in hypnosis. In my framework souls often reincarnate within the same family line to keep working on shared lessons or to resolve old karma together. During a past life regression you might find that you were your own great grandparent, an uncle or an aunt a few generations back. Clients often tell me that this brings real clarity to recurring family dynamics. It also explains the strong familiarity some people feel with certain ancestral homes, heirlooms or relatives, a sense of already knowing a place or a person that they could never account for. The family you were born into may be one you have been part of for a very long time.

Yes. A regression session is about more than clearing old trauma. In my experience it is also a good way to bring forward positive talents and gifts. If you played the piano, painted, wrote or did energy healing in a past life, that knowledge is still held in your soul. Those fast flashes are what some of my clients call fleeting images, so I use that term as well, and I can slow them down. Some of my clients are not especially visual, so a past life memory arrives as a quick scene that appears and vanishes, almost like a slide show. When that happens I use specific hypnotic suggestions that ask your subconscious to let the images settle and hold still long enough to look at. I also shift your attention away from your inner vision and toward what you feel in your body and your emotions, because those channels tend to be steadier. What typically happens is the scene stabilizes, and once it holds we can gather rich, detailed information from it just as we would from a vivid picture.

They hold a high bar, and you formally apply rather than simply signing up. They look for at least 200 hours of formal hypnosis and regression training, hypnotherapy and past life regression training completed through an approved instructor, and real experience in the chair. That last one is the part people underestimate. They want one to two years of active practice and at least 40 documented past life regression sessions with your own clients before you enroll. That deep, hard to explain feeling of not belonging on Earth is common among spiritually sensitive souls, the people sometimes called Starseeds. In my experience, some of them have lived previous lifetimes on other planets or in other dimensions. One client of mine went to a life where both suns in the sky were blue and the beings had blue skin and long fingers. Under hypnosis you can access those off planet memories, or recognize a past life imprint that was placed to help a newer soul adapt to life here.
