Yes, you can set a clear intention before we go into hypnosis to visit a specific period, place or culture. I will say that your soul, or Higher Self, ultimately chooses the past life that holds the most important lesson for your growth right now, and that may or may not match what your logical mind is curious about. Even so, a strong intention set during our pre talk acts like a compass. In my experience it often guides your subconscious straight to the lifetime you have been drawn to. So bring the request. We will state it clearly and then let your Higher Self lead.

In my experience long standing physical discomfort in your current body may very well be tied to unhealed past life trauma or intense unresolved emotion that started in a past life or in the current life. The details are not the important part. Discovering the emotion is. Sometimes it comes up on its own during the past life experience, and sometimes I use regression to cause, which takes you back to the initial sensitizing event, the moment that emotion first locked in. Regression to cause works in a hypnosis session as well, and in past life work it can take you straight to the lifetime where the emotion began.
