An earthbound soul is a human spirit that left its physical body at death but did not cross over into the light, staying stuck on Earth because of confusion, fear or lingering attachments. These spirits can attach to the living as energetic nuisances. A dark force entity, or DF, is different. It is a non human, negative energy that has never lived in a physical body.
