They occur in your mind, and your mind is always with you. Third, and perhaps most interesting, the changes you are seeking are part of your everyday life. In all of my sessions, I recommend that you are alone in a quiet space. Having someone else present can sometimes cause you to hold back and not fully express yourself during the session. It is also worth knowing that you will be wearing earphones or headphones throughout, so anyone else in the room would only hear half of the conversation. You will receive a full recording of your session afterward and are completely free to share it with anyone you like.
