An analytical, left brain mind, which I see often in engineers and software developers, is no barrier to hypnosis. To quiet that logical chatter I use a simple visual exercise I call the Ball Game. You imagine holding a ball, you toss it up, and you watch it turn into a balloon. That is the whole thing. It sounds almost too simple, but what it does is shift you from trying to analyze what is happening into simply allowing impressions to flow from your subconscious. Once that shift happens, the critical mind steps out of the way and my analytical clients access deep memories and knowings just as easily as anyone else.

Yes, it is extremely common. Our souls incarnate across genders, nationalities, cultures and social classes to experience a rich, well rounded spectrum of lessons. Under hypnosis a male client today may discover he lived as a female concubine in ancient Rome, while another finds himself as a Civil War soldier. Experiencing these varied lives lets your subconscious mind draw on the wisdom of many perspectives. It also explains a lot of the unexplainable attractions people bring to me, that pull toward a specific culture, a style of jewelry, ancient pottery or a particular historical era. My clients often find the life they visit lines up with something they have loved for no reason they could name.

We choose to incarnate on Earth specifically to experience physical density, navigate relational challenges and master vital spiritual lessons like patience, courage or forgiveness. I describe Earth to my clients as a challenging, fast paced school for soul level growth. Your human mind may feel overwhelmed by physical limitations or life struggles, and at the same time your soul intentionally selected this era, this body and this family to resolve unfinished lessons from past lives. A Quantum Healing Hypnosis or Life Between Lives session helps you step out of linear time and connect directly with that original pre birth plan. Many people tell me that seeing the plan changes how they feel about the struggle, because it turns out they signed up for it on purpose.

They hold a high bar, and you formally apply rather than simply signing up. They look for at least 200 hours of formal hypnosis and regression training, hypnotherapy and past life regression training completed through an approved instructor, and real experience in the chair. That last one is the part people underestimate. They want one to two years of active practice and at least 40 documented past life regression sessions with your own clients before you enroll. My courses are approved to satisfy those prerequisites, and I will be honest with you about where you are on that road whenever you want to talk it through.

I feel that I connect with my own guides, as well as others in spirit, during sessions, and one way I do that is through my pendulum and sometimes muscle testing. I cannot say for sure where the answers come from. It may be my guides, your guides, the Masters of Light I have written about on the blog, or another guide who is a guide to one of your guides, but there is a connection, and the answers come. During an active session they let me quickly double check information, verify the exact identity of the spiritual guides or attachments present, and confirm that an energetic block, a negative contract or an earthbound soul attachment has fully cleared before we move forward. Think of it as a second line on the phone. The answers come through your voice first, and these tools give me a fast, reliable way to check them.

If you carry memories of dying as a soldier, say a Civil War sergeant, you are in familiar territory for me. Clients with spontaneous recall of historic battles often carry residual physical and emotional weight from that death into this life, things like phantom neck or back pain. In hypnosis I use release techniques to separate that battlefield energy from your modern body. Reviewing the event from an observer's perspective helps your subconscious take in that the war is over and that you are safe in your current body today. Many people find the fear and tension they carried eases once that message lands. The memory stays, but its grip loosens.
