What Past Lives Have to Do With Spiritual Growth

Every lifetime your soul takes on has lessons in it. Some get learned, and some do not, and the ones that do not come around again. Spiritual growth, the way I understand it after doing this work since 2003, is the slow mastering of those lessons across many lifetimes.

A past life regression speeds that up for one simple reason. Instead of working a lesson blind, you get to go back and find out what the lesson actually is. After I studied with Michael Newton, I decided this is what I want to focus on, spiritual hypnosis, and this is the heart of why.

How Can Knowing My Past Lives Help Me Grow?

Knowing your past lives helps you grow because it shows you where a pattern actually started. In deep hypnosis you observe significant events and emotional patterns from earlier lifetimes that carried over into this one, and you find what I call the initial seed, the moment it all began.

Once you understand how a past situation is still shaping your reactions today, you can resolve it back in its original context rather than wrestling with the symptoms here. What tends to happen is that the heavy energy that was never cleared finally lets go, and clients often tell me that is when they feel free to step into their real potential in the present.

What Is Karma and How Do I Clear It?

Karma is the spiritual law of cause and effect, what goes around comes around. In my experience, karmic patterns come with you from past lifetimes when your soul did not fully take in a key lesson from an experience. During the thorough review near the end of a session, you get to look at those difficult cycles with a wider view.

When you consciously identify the lesson your soul was meant to learn, forgiveness or self trust for example, the pattern loses its grip. Clients often tell me that once they recognize the lesson clearly, they stop repeating the same painful loop in this life. That is what clearing karma is in practice, understanding rather than punishment.

Can I Avoid the Reincarnation Cycle?

Reincarnation is a voluntary choice, and your soul is the one making it. I hear from people who want to be sure they never come back, usually because this life has been hard. What I have seen in Life Between Lives sessions is that the decision belongs to your soul rather than to your human personality.

Your soul is after growth, and it may get encouragement from your guides to come back and finish lessons that are still open. So the honest answer is that you do not have to reincarnate, but your soul often chooses to, because it finds something worth coming back for.

How does the soul connect with the body in the womb?

Your soul is a large, advanced energy field, and the human body can only hold a small part of that intensity. So when you are in the womb, typically somewhere between three and six months of pregnancy, only a small percentage of your soul's energy connects with the developing body to form your human personality. The rest stays in the non physical realm as your Higher Self, watching over you with a broad, protective perspective for your whole lifetime. That is why you can reach your Higher Self so readily in hypnosis. It is the larger part of you, and it has been there all along, before the body and beyond it.

What does God say about past lives?

I am not a religious authority, so I leave what God says to your own faith and your own reading. I can share how I hold it. People describe the spirit world the way people describe heaven. The difference is the concept of reincarnation. Instead of living one life and staying in heaven for eternity, you cross over, spend some time in that in between place, and when you are ready you come back into another lifetime. Different faiths read this differently, and I am not here to argue anyone out of their beliefs. I do not preach past life to anybody. How do I understand my psychic or intuitive gifts?

Those intuitive flashes, hunches and psychic knowings are often messages your spirit guides or Higher Self are dropping into your mind. In the hypnotic state, clients discover that what they had been writing off as random thoughts, odd coincidences or their brain doing something weird is actually real spiritual guidance. I teach self hypnosis anchors and progressive relaxation so you can quiet the logical, analytical part of your mind on your own. Can a session help with a difficult parent or sibling?

Yes, and the first shift is in how you ask the question. Difficult relationships with parents or siblings are often designed as vital spiritual catalysts. Asking why they are difficult tends to keep you stuck in a victim pattern, so I coach my clients to rephrase and ask what they need to do to have a better relationship or to learn the underlying soul lesson. In a Quantum Healing Hypnosis session, connecting with your Higher Self reveals the pre birth soul contracts you made with your family. That perspective is what allows you to release resentment, establish healthy emotional boundaries and find deep peace.
